He entered the league with a bread-crumb trail of inconsistent attendance and questionable desire, but by the time
he took Carmichael yard to win the 2003 Series at the Sac, everyone knew Darnell Uhland was the heart
and soul of this league. A true collegiate hardballer, Darnell brought immediate talent and fun to a league that
was begging for it after a rough 2000 campaign. Despite playing on two terrible Road Warrior squads in '01 and '02,
it seemed the tougher the times for Darnell, the more dedicated he became. By '03 he was surrounded
by Dave Cain and a couple young guns and he became the centerpiece of the league. Almost unhealthily happy, Darnell never
didn't have fun playing the game, and the game never didn't have fun with him at the party.
