Judge TMC: I'm guessing that Jordan, the designer, works for Coke? Or maybe his dad does? Or maybe he just REALLY enjoys the refreshing taste of a cold Coke-a-Cola. I prefer Pepsi, so I hate his design.
It's actually nicely built, easy to read and navigate. Hopefully all of the things they are planning on doing will actually come true (ie: video, images, history), until then though, it's just a nice design wrapping around "coming soons".
So until I start to see some content, this review will be added to the "Coming Soons" that are associated with Wiffle Atlanta
Final Say: What else....Coming Soon.

Judge JRC: The site looks good, but it's disheartening to see broken links and grammar problems on a site that's only been adding content for a couple months. What are we to expect a few months from now, when the stats get messier and the news needs to be archived? Can we count on these guys to not make many mistakes when they can't seem to get through the first game of the season without easy-to-spot errors?
Does the site look good? Sure it does. Clean lines and easy navigation are greatly appreciated, but it's hard to keep a clientele when they're 0-1 when it comes to successfully linking to game summaries. This isn't baseball, if you're "batting" .300 when it comes to creating workable links, you're not doing a good job. In fact, you're doing a terrible job.
And their season is young, so I'm immediately dating myself by saying they could use some more content (the content will come as the season progresses), so I'll simply state my worries:
1. It's hard to get into players from a league across the country if there's nothing on the site to get me into them to begin with. It's hard to create player profile pages, but it's typically more than worth it. For the time being, at least throw up a thumbnail or something.
2. I've got a bad feeling about the multimedia page. Prove me wrong.
3. Don't fart around too much with the front page. Change pictures now and then, change copy, but don't go and try to rehaul everything in a month. You'll just ruin it.
Final Say: If they don't rush things, slowly let the content accumulate, and take small steps here and there, this will eventually be a formidable site. |
