This site has been around for awhile, as they hold some big tournament somewhere in this country I don't know how many times a year. It's allegedly the largest wiffleball tournament in Michigan, which is like me saying our site is the greatest wiffleball site in Washington. SO WHAT? They're part of the elite Michigan Wiffleball Alliance. They qualified...I'm assuming because they're in Michigan, not because they're elite.
They received a "face-lift" not too long ago (after years of having a rather horrific-looking site), but after clicking a few links, you start to notice the only thing that's changed is that someone from
WiffleHouse (presumably) built them a shell. I'm assuming Fat Bastard fills in the blanks within the "upside-down L" frame, because that's where you find their classic (read: ugly) style of multiple font sizes, background colors, and text text text. The frame they had built for them has its own problems. If you're running at 800x600 resolution, much of the left nav bar gets cut off and you can't scroll down it. On my IE browser, I've got a Google and Alexa toolbar, and with 800x600 I lost access to everything below the "Links" link. That's pretty horrible usability. Even at 1024x768 you lost access to some stuff. Well, just their counter, but still. It's just another in a long line of evidence that points towards frames being stupid and worthless.
Final Say: Pretty inexcusable usability problems that dampened what mght have been merely a midly-annoying visit.
