Description
Judge TMC:
Know what I hate? Contact banners that are linked to an e-mail address. That's almost (but not quite) as annoying as someone linking to a PDF without telling you. It's especially annoying for me because I don't use a mail program, so whenever I click on a Contact banner, I expect to open up a new webpage, not my mail program that hasn't been opened in a month (which, coincidentally, was the last time I clicked on a Contact banner). The point is, these guys have that.

Other than that, this site's beautiful! Just kidding. They use way too many styles of fonts, poorly made graphics and just overall bad ideas for design. They also look like the kind of guys that would hang out with Jared from Subway. Is that an insult? Ummm...not really I guess, but I just thought I would mention that.

They do have a good amount of content and keep it somewhat updated, but like all tournament-based sites, there is nothing that draws you in to stick around. I want player profiles, movies, stats, standings, etc. Not "Tournament Info" or five different styled paragraphs on who's going to play who in the Michigan Rock All Night tournament on July 14, 2004.

Final Say:: If they had a league, it would be a lot more interesting.

Judge JRC:
This site has been around for awhile, as they hold some big tournament somewhere in this country I don't know how many times a year. It's allegedly the largest wiffleball tournament in Michigan, which is like me saying our site is the greatest wiffleball site in Washington. SO WHAT? They're part of the elite Michigan Wiffleball Alliance. They qualified...I'm assuming because they're in Michigan, not because they're elite.

They received a "face-lift" not too long ago (after years of having a rather horrific-looking site), but after clicking a few links, you start to notice the only thing that's changed is that someone from WiffleHouse (presumably) built them a shell. I'm assuming Fat Bastard fills in the blanks within the "upside-down L" frame, because that's where you find their classic (read: ugly) style of multiple font sizes, background colors, and text text text. The frame they had built for them has its own problems. If you're running at 800x600 resolution, much of the left nav bar gets cut off and you can't scroll down it. On my IE browser, I've got a Google and Alexa toolbar, and with 800x600 I lost access to everything below the "Links" link. That's pretty horrible usability. Even at 1024x768 you lost access to some stuff. Well, just their counter, but still. It's just another in a long line of evidence that points towards frames being stupid and worthless.

Final Say: Pretty inexcusable usability problems that dampened what mght have been merely a midly-annoying visit.
