Was
once known simply as the most dangerous hitter in the league who
could also pitch his ass off. Now he's becoming known more as utterly
unhittable from the mound with a decent bat to go along with it.
He's the career record-holder in too many categories to count. Most
notable are Homeruns, RBIs, Slugging Percentage, Batter Rating,
Wins, Ks, OAverage, ERA, and Pitcher Rating.
If he has a
weakness in hitting it's the inside pitch. If you throw it at the
right time and with enough speed, you can freeze him. And if he
does happen to turn on it, he usually hits it foul. Hard, but foul.
Anything over the plate is just asking to be hammered though, and
he's never too fooled with off-speed pitches. A key thing to remember
is to not get upset if he hits one off you. He hits one off EVERYONE.
He's very impartial as to who gives up homeruns to him.
There is really
no weakness in his pitching. Batters will usually get ONE pitch
to hit in a full AB, but it's considered a "pitch to hit"
only in comparison to his other pitches. Devastating speed, unbelievable
accuracy, a top-notch curve, and an incomparable knowledge of when
to throw what is what Scott brings to the table.
Scott's defense
is above average. He has decent hand-eye coordination and decent
speed, but nothing incredible is going on. He'll make an occasional
error, and may not get to balls others will, but he's solid and
pitchers are never too worried with him in the field. He also knows
where to play certain hitters and can position himself well. |
