Opening Doubleheader
Road Warriors vesus Playerz

Game 1
Bill Rozak proved his hitting from the previous gameday was not a fluke, but his pitching was as the Playerz dropped both ends of a doubleheader to the Road Warriors.

Bill went 6-11 in the opening game with an impressive four homeruns, but he also gave up four of his own (and eight runs in all) as the Playerz dropped Game 1, 9-6.

Rookie Curtis Henning led the way early for the Road Warriors, hitting a two and three-run homerun in the bottom of the first. Bill got revenge, hitting three straight off Dave Cain and cutting the lead to 5-4 in the top of the second. However, in the bottom of the third with a 6-5 lead, the Road Warriors added three more, rendering Matt Smith's solo shot in the top of the fourth useless.

Dave Cain had am impressive game at the plate, going 5-6 with four walks. Henning had seven of the team's nine RBIs.

Final Score: 9-6, Warriors

Game 2
The Playerz just couldn't hit the longball when they needed it during Game 2 as the Warriors picked up the sweep with a 5-3 victory.

The Playerz hit three homeruns, but all were solo and they left men in scoring position in the first three innings of the game. The Warriors scored all the runs they would need by the second inning. Darnell led off the game with hit 7th homerun of the year, and then held the Playerz in the bottom of the inning. In the top of the second, the Warriors again lit up Rozak, this time for three runs thanks to a solo shot by Henning and a two-runner by Cain.

Bill hit solo shots in the second, third, and fourth innings, while Cain added another in the fourth to round out the scoring.

Final Score: 5-3, Warriors

Nitecap
Road Warriors versus Holy Whites

Having possibly expended their bats, the Warriors showed one of their underappreciated skills to the Holy Whites en route to a 3-0 win that left them 3-0 on the day and 17-4 on the year.

The Whites picked up five hits, but the Warriors showed that when need be, they can keep the ball in the ballpark as all five hits were singles. The Whites weren't so lucky as Darnell hit his 8th and Dave Cain had his 3rd straight two-homer game.

After three full, the Warriors had their 3-0 lead and were tossing a two-hitter. After getting a ground out to start the top of the fourth, Curtis surrendured two straight singles. He then struck out Scott, but gave up another single to Mike, loading the bases. Still, the rookie got the legend looking at strike three to end the game.

Final Score: 3-0, Warriors
