Game Game
1 With one out in the bottom of the fifth inning, John hit a three-run, walk-off homerun that gave the Whites a 5-4 victory over their rivals. The scoring started in the bottom of the 2nd as John doubled home two runs off Eric Christensen. Seth Yoder took Scott Carmichael deep in the top of the 3rd to cut the lead to 2-1, and then he singled home a run in the top of the fourth to tie the ballgame up. Joey Creighton tossed a scoreless 4th to force extra innings. After Eric led off with a ground out, Seth took Mike Walsh deep to give the Horsemen a 3-2 lead. Joey would later single home another run, giving the Horsemen a two-run cushion. Eric started the 5th inning by striking out John, but after surrenduring a single to Mike and then walking Scott, he gave up the blast to Deatrick. Final Score: 5-4, Holy Whites Day
Game Game
1 Dean Evans and Jeff Morrison were no match for the fired-up Warriors, who only needed four hits (all homeruns) to defeat Wiffolution 8-0. Dean actually pitched a scoreless first despite walking the bases loaded. He got Dave Cain to pop out and then Darnell Uhland to ground out. In the bottom of the second though, Curtis Henning took Morrison deep for a two-run job, and Dave followed immediately with a solo shot. After Wiffolution's third straight one-single inning, Dean gave up five runs in the bottom of the third. After walking the first two batters, he got Darnell to strike out. He then walked Curtis (both walks to Curtis came with Dean jumping out to an 0-2 count and then throwing four straight balls), and then gave up a grand slam to Dave. Darnell's solo shot made it 8-0. Dean then walked two more batters, but got out of the inning without further damage. Curtis then breezed through the top of the fourth to secure the win. Final Score: 8-0, Road Warriors Doubleheader Game
1 Facing all four Warriors, Yoder and Creighton allowed only four singles and no runs as they cruised to a quick 3-0 win that amzingly included no homeruns. Joey picked up all the RBIs for his team with an RBI single in the second off Dave Cain and a 2-RBI double off Pat Plummer. He had a record-tying three 2Bs in the game and a record-setting six 2Bs on the day. Pat went hitless, dropping his average to .085. Final Score: 3-0, Horsemen Game
2 Pat hit a three-run homerun in the top of the second, part of a four-run inning that put the Warriors up 5-0. They would go on to take the game, 8-5. After starting the day 2-10, Darnell went 5-7 with 4 HRs. The first HR of the game (and second of the day) was the 50th of his career, a ball he kept for himself. He hit a HR in each inning, taking both Joey and Seth deep twice. Seth and Joey added homeruns of their own. Seth's two-run shot off Dave cut the lead to 5-2, and Joey's 3-run blast off Darnell cut the lead to 8-5. One batter later, Yoder struck out to end the game. Final Score: 8-5, Road Warriors Doubleheader Game
1 Sylvester went 4-7 with a HR and more importantly gave Wiffolution two innings of solid pitching as he and Jeff beat Scott and John 4-2. Scott led the game off immediately with a solo shot off Jeff, but Jeff answered with a solo shot off Scott in the bottom of the inning. He and Casey then went back-to-back off Deatrick in the second. Against Scott in the third, Casey singled three times in a row and on his third try of the inning, Jeff finally found a hole against Scott, singling home a run. John led off the 4th with a solo shot, but the Whites couldn't manage anymore runs off Casey. Final Score: 4-2, Wiffolution Game
2 In danger of dropping both ends of a doubleheader, the Holy Whites unloaded on Jeff for 13 runs in the bottom of the third and took the nitecap, 13-2. Entering that portion of the game, Wiffolution was holding dearly onto a 2-0 lead they had thanks to back-to-back homeruns to start the game off by Jeff and Casey. Jeff cruised through the bottom of the first, picking a 1-2-3 inning despite the fact that it was his fifth time on the mound for the day. No runs were scored until the fateful 3rd, as Scott hit four homeruns, three of which were three-run shots. He then tossed a scoreless 4th to seal the game. Final Score: 13-2, Holy Whites Boxscores
