Going into the day of the event, it wasn't known for sure who was going to be sitting at the table with Clint Wattenberg at his namesake invitational. But when a bigger and beefier Pat Plummer pulled up in his crappy yellow truck, everyone knew we were going to have a match on our hands.

What the fans and competitors got was more than just a match as Pat Plummer narrowly upset Clint at the burrito speed-eating competition, finishing in an impressive 2:40 and becoming the first person to beat Clint, man on man. Clint crossed the line in 2:55 and was gracious in defeat.

"I give Pat all the credit in the world," said Clint shortly afterwards. "What he did was exceedingly impressive, being that he beat me and all."

Pat was nearly speechless afterwards, seemingly still humbled by the veteran Wattenberg and almost in disbelief that he won.

"I'm still kind of shocked," stated Pat. "I credit my coaching staff, including Joey over there who's still eating and Nate Ogden, who is currently in Ireland but would also still be eating if he were here. They prepared me."
