Notes: After Matt Holmberg quit and Keith Carlson was given up on, Matt Smith requested the approval to bring in a new player for the Playerz, who'd
for most of the season simply been he and fellow rookie John Robbins. The request was granted, and then the league found out that Matt had brought in a ringer of sorts
as Bill Rozak, the oldest non-Greg Creighton player ever, proceeded to murder opposing pitching at a nearly never-before-seen-rate (he was essentially another Carmichael).
Setting a new BA and OB% record (.465 and .564, respectively) with just enough games to qualify was the final result. Only the best pitchers could keep Rozak in the park as all else were exposed to an embarassing degree. Unfortunately for the Playerz, Bill's pitching arm was not as
gifted as his swing, and he nearly gave all those runs back while on the mound. Still, his arrival rejuvenated the struggling Playerz and almost snuck them into the
2003 playoffs.
