Notes: Good ol' Chris Keefer, the last man selected in the poorest of poor drafts prior to the 2002 season. Him and his two amigos were emergency additions to the draft lot and of three three friends, Chris seemed the most enthused towards playing.
Sadly, he only ended up playing one gameday, possibly because two of the three games he participated in were against the Longballs and Bob Banos during HIS one gameday of the 2002 season. Chris gave up 22 runs in only 5 IP, Bob gave up 22 runs in only 3 IP. And since Bob walked an unheard of 17 batters in those 3 innings, Chris was able to pick up 4 RBIs despite not once getting a basehit.
His stats suggest he was the worst overall player to play in our league, but that's not true. He wasn't good by any stretch of the imagination, but he wasn't nearly as bad as his stats seem to suggest. Had he debuted on a different day, there's a good chance he would have stuck around at least a little longer.
