Notes: Sigh...poor Jeff Register, widely considered the worst player the league ever saw. Brought in as an emergency draft pick during the talent-less
2002 season, Jeff was overmatched by everyone in the league. You look at his pitching stats and you just wonder who WERE the 10 guys he struck out? Who was the pitcher
he hit a homerun off? Probably Derek Byrd. Jeff actually attended the draft, despite the fact that non-captains were not encouraged to be in attendance to save us the
problem of hurt feelings. It was down to the very last pick and Jeff had still not been picked. Cousin Darnell Uhland had the last pick, and while everyone knew
Jeff would bring no talent to the league, we all hoped Darnell would pick him so we wouldn't have to deal with the unbearable awkwardness of having a guy in the room
not picked at all to play. Luckily, Darnell picked him. The rest of the season for the Road Warriors was a bust until Jeff was forced out of
Chico and Dave Cain fell from the sky to replace him. The next year, the Road Warriors won the Series at the Sac title.
