Notes:
Josh Bartholomew, himself a veteran of the crosstown Water Baseball League, has perhaps the most infamous stat line of anyone in the league. One day in April of 2000, Josh made his one appearance in the league, playing three games and picking up 16 ABs along with 3.0 IP. Needless to say, he was in a little over his head. He only had one hit to his name, and he managed to give up 15 runs and 14 hits in his mere 3 innings of work.
However, his one hit was not only a homerun, but a grand slam. And it was not off some other perplexed rookie, it came off the one and only Scott Carmichael. Josh was seen quickly circling the bases, shortly before hitting 2nd base stuffing his shirt into his mouth to help keep himself from laughing at the absurdity at it all.
At the end of the gameday, Josh then gave perhaps the most famous post-game interview in the league, talking up how despite his unremarkable numbers, he was a little upset since he felt he could have done worse. He expressed regret at those few times he "went balls out" and predicted he would strike out "from now on." Sadly, he never did come out for another game.
