Jeff Morrison is a Hall of Famer! This would have been posted much much MUCH earlier, but...my computer wasn't working. Darndest thing. Congratulations, Jeffrey. I'm glad that your 861 career ABs didn't go in vain.

Once upon a time we told you we were going to get together a couple days before Christmas and not only play a couple games of plastic baseball, but eat a few big burritos and time ourselves with video camera present. Then we never mentioned it again. Now that the Super Bowl can no longer compete with us, let us unveil the results of Swingin For Santa III and the 3rd Annual Clint Wattenberg Invite. I'd apologize for the wait, but the last couple years had to have taught you something, right?

The Hall of Fame would like to announce that Casey Sylvester is the 5th man to have his name etched in stone. Visit the page to see Casey's profile as well as watch his personal highlight video. Once again, all three nominees (Casey, Jeff Morrison, and James Vassar) received first-place votes in yet another tight race. Seth Yoder will be ineligible this time around as Greg Creighton returns as a nominee and Clint Wattenberg takes the 5th nominee spot. Vote now and vote often!

Hall of Fame voting has been closed while the current Hall of Fame members vote on the three nominees chosen by the people. The three finalists are James Vassar, Jeff Morrison, and Casey Sylvester. Seth Yoder got 5th of 5 and will not be a nominee next time.

Guess what? The "Review Site" finally return with a few reviews! Being the offseason and all, submissions are slow, so despite the four year wait, we're only returning with three reviews. We've also been getting re-submissions for sites we've already reviewed, but we're not quite to that point yet. Soon folks...we'll start with the re-reviews, but not yet. Probably more in time for "baseball season" if you're looking for a nice vague ETA.

Well our little (big) winter vacation is over and we return with a brand new "Where Are They Now?" profile. The new man has big ol' titties and a 100 degree smile. New reviews forthcoming in a day or so.

It's that time of year again, and although we weren't able to break it down in '04, we're making sure that Swingin' For Santa III not only goes down in 2005, but goes down as one of the best ever. The wiffleball party will likely feature lots and lots of rust as all former players are invited to play hooky from work on Friday, Dec. 23rd and come on out to The Sac to relive the feeling of being struck out by Scott Carmichael.
Afterwards we'll celebrate our celebration with the 3rd Annual Clint Wattenberg Invitational, a burrito speed-eating contest named after the fastest consumer of high-quality mexican food himself. Visit our mini-site for more news as well as video highlights from events past.

We're back with more from the video vault!!! Here's what's in store this go-round:
1. The Nate Stuempfig Story - Produced in the wonderful year of 1998 by pioneers Joey Creighton and Scott Carmichael for Nate Stuempfig, who was leaving a few days later for UCSD. Scott and Joey thought Nate was retiring. Nate did not stay retired and would up playing three more seasons. Had Joey or Scott known this, they likely never would have made this laughable video which actually features a MIDI file rather than a WAV file for the audio ("Winds of Change" by the Scorpions, thank you very much). Why? It was seven years ago, we don't have a damn clue.
2. Dean Evans Interview (3 Parter) - Dean Evans visited the Creighton Bros. in spring of 2005 and took the time to sit down and give his thoughts on a variety of subjects, most humorously being which professional wrestlers our old-time players most resembled.
3. Nate Stuempfig Interview (final 3 parts of a 4 parter) - We uploaded Part 1 awhile back, here are the remaining three parts of Nate Stuempfig's sit-down after the final day of Winterball 1999 in December. That cackling you hear in the background was Seth Yoder, who as a rookie hopeful impressed no one with an 0-29 Winterball performance.

Uncle Terry finally stops drinking long enough to provide us with another web tutorial. This time he wants you to know he's sick and tired of seeing those default blue borders around any linked images, and he's man enough to show you how to avoid them.

With Darnell Uhland now locked firmly in the wing of infamy, it's time to open up a new booth of five names. Go vote, early and often, and tell us who you want to see in the Hall next. Greg Creighton was dropped from the ballot due to receiving the fewest votes last time around, and the two empty spots have been taken by Nate Stuempfig and Seth Yoder.

Finally, we've closed the voting booth for our fourth HOF-nominee-to-be-inductee poll! James Vassar, Casey Sylvester, Jeff Morrison, Darnell Uhland, and Greg Creighton were the five nominees to be nominees. You guys voted for Casey, Jeff, and Darnell to move on as the official three nominees, and on Sunday Oct 30th we'll reveal who our current Hall of Famers think is best suited to be the next to join them.

Just find the "Download It" graphic and right click/save as. The file sizes can be found on the menu to the left. We promise the files contain no viruses whatsoever, but we don't promise that all files are "Safe For Work." More reviews are coming soon.
