One of the fiercest competitors the league had ever seen, Jeff Morrison debuted during the revolutionary 1998 season.
He participated in our highly unsuccessful tournament 'Wiffle Fest '98' alongside Terry Creighton and impressed the brass
enough with his 3-10, HR effort to earn an invite to the official league. Despite starting slow, over the course of the
next six years, Jeff proved himself to be one of the more talented hitters in the league and one of the most enjoyable to
play for or against. The only drawback was Jeff worked for a local donut shop, and he constantly overcompensated the
stench of fried dough with heavy quantities of cologne. He's since been forgiven by most players.
Neither were captain, but from 2001 to 2003 Jeff and Dean Evans were the heart and soul of Wiffolution 51. They made
the playoffs all three years but could never get to the final dance. Injuries and the occasional no-desire teammates
prevented Jeff from consistently playing at the level he would sometimes reach. However, in the final third of 2003,
teamed up with Devo and Mattitude Version 2.0, J-Mo went out with a bang. He ended the season (and his career) 27-71
(.380) with 13 HRs and 24 RBIs and lead his team from last place to their 3rd straight playoff birth. It was a fitting
close to the career of a great player and competitor.
