The following is what's been going on with Jeff Morrison since the end of the league, in his own words.
"What have I been doing since wiffleball? I've been searching for fulfillment in my life. After Joey
left and the league ended I basically lost my purpose. I'd be lying to my fans out there if I didn't fess up.
I went wayward for a while...you know...hard drugs, fast women, slow-pitch softball...I'm sorry...really sorry...
I even bowled in a league with Dean. We tried to take Wiffolution 51 to the bowling alley. I even named my bowling
ball "The Money Maker." It didn't work out so well, but I had fun. After awhile I realized wiffleball wasn't
coming back so I decided I should take this time off and get some things straight. I had knee
surgery, I married my long-time girlfriend, I vacationed in Hawaii, I bought a house and settled down. Life's
pretty good right now. Currently I have a couple of semesters left at Chico State before I graduate with a degree
in Business. I'm also working for a company called Level Five Media as their Operations Manager. It's pretty big
time stuff...not like Darnell's waitressing job at Dave and Homo's, or Dave and Busty's or whatever it's called.
Man...I hate those Road Warriors.
"I'm also playing a lot of golf...it's my choice sport at the moment. The knee is recovered and I think
I'm going to have surgery soon on my shoulder. After that gets fixed up I'll begin my training for wiffleball
again. If Joey ever comes to his senses and comes back to run the league I promise my fans to be better than ever.
To all my fellow wiffleballers out there I wish you well. I miss the smell of the hot asphalt in August...when you're
getting torn a new one on the mound and all you want to do is get out of the inning before you pass out and die. It was so
much fun...but it's gone now. Maybe someday we will all meet again at The Sac. We'll roll the dice for teams, turn
on some 80's music in Joey's parent's house, drag out the Gatorade and get to playing. See you all soon!
"Opposite Way, Baby."
